Wouldn't it make sense to instead keep your battery-hungry phone charged throughout the day while you use it? And that computer you're sitting in front of has a USB port, doesn't it? The Nokia CA-100 USB charger works on just about all Nokia phones with the new 2mm power plug that don't already charge via the USB port. I have never liked the retractor mechanisms on cables like this(Funny that none of the retail cell phone accessory stores I checked sell this essential USB power gadget, but they sure have plenty wall and car chargers.).
It's nicely small(Shaped as a cell phone Strap), light, and cheap(Priced at only $1.49). And it is Useful for situations where you won't have a dedicated AC charger. Get a few and keep them in all of your desk drawers and in the laptop bags. Attach one to your keychain too, just in case…

Cars, especially older ones, don’t always have a convenient spot to put your cell phone and I’ve never been a fan of leaving it in my pocket while driving. Yes, you could slip it into your cupholder, but it’s not quite in the line of sight and that means your drink can’t go there. Which could be catastrophic for those in dire need of caffeine and are unwilling to hold it between their legs. Well with this little cell phone holder your phone will always be at the ideal spot for you.

The Big Hug Adhesive Cell Phone Holder wants to give you a hand. Two hands actually. Two big ol’ purple palms giving the love to your cell phone with a big hug. The backside has adhesive tape so you can stick it on your windshield, dashboard, air vent, desks, headboard or anywhere else you’d want to have your phone hugged. You can feel safe because Big Hug’s soft rubber hands won’t scratch your phone, he just wants to give your phone a love hug because Big Hug loves your phone.

Unfortunately, since this is being sold over the internet you’ll just have to buy it and pray it happens to work with your phone. It does say that it will not work with the wider phones like the iPhone. And at just $3.99 big hugs from Big Hug are cheap hugs!

Steve from Panocamera.com has built a custom interface from his Canon DSLR to his Nintendo DS. Add a dash of custom software and his little DS can now do the sorts of things — HDR intervalometer-based shot bracketing, remote shots in bulb mode, even a sound-based "Clapper" control — all with his little gaming device. Brilliant! The DS has enough power to do all the calculations you need for these sorts of shots but is so much smaller and lighter than a laptop. (And can play Advance Wars.)

Steve said he's considering building more for sale. Do it! Hell, build out a reference design and let's figure out how to mass produce them. This is exactly the sort of fantastic hack that reminds how homebrew is extending the capability of our devices and should be encouraged by all parties involved.

Many of us keep hearing about the wonders of LED lights; how they have life spans of between 50,000 and 70,000 hours, how they use only a fraction of the power that even a CFL requires, and their small size. Why then, are we not using them to light our homes? The answer lies in the type of light emitted by existing LEDs.And the energy is emitted directly as white light, so not as much energy is required. A lot of the light is muted, faded, and doesn't have the crisp white light we enjoy with conventional bulbs... until now.

In the past, LEDs only made one color. Red, green, and blue can be combined to make white, but there may be frequencies missing between narrow RGB bands. Those missing frequencies will make the light seem a bit colorless. It will not make colored objects look the same as if lit by sunlight. Yes, it is possible to quantify what makes white.

LEDs are more efficient at lower wattages and can attain very impressive numbers but the efficiency goes down at higher energy levels. The area where white LEDs will provide benefit is where point sources are needed. Small spot lights like those under cabinets or in track lighting that illuminate something like a wall portrait don't really work with CFLs. CFL lamps are a very general soft source of light and aren't good for projecting a beam. They also are impossible to make very small. As you know, LEDs can be very small and cool while making a respectable amount of light. CFLs always will need a ballast which makes them large.

And we've talked so much about the UFO the whole centuty, but it's my first time to hear that it use LED to light it's route! Unbelievable! Does it? But I've just caught a UFO weirdy!

Paper shredders are a usual thing in office nowadays. It does all the dirty work, shredding the unnecessary or classified papers to small pieces, better than any human can do. However, they are usually big and bulky devices, though very necessary in departments in which information is very sensitive. It is a pity that if you'd like to destroy the documents which must not be seen, but you are far from this machine, you will be left with no choice but to burn it or shred it to pieces manually. Fortunately, no more burning required, because the portable shredder can do all the documents destroying work for you! Maybe it remainds you the USB powered one, but don't let important documents get into the wrong hands with that mechanical assistant.

This Portable Hand Powered Paper Shredder I’ll introduce bellow shreds paper documents into confetti! A "must-have" at home or office. No power required. Proving that sometimes the best gadgets do not need batteries(sometimes).

This hand-held device for shredding paper comprising a pair of rotary cutting wheels disposed within a housing between an inlet slot and an outlet slot. A motor is positioned in the handle to drive the cutting wheels through a gear assembly. One wheel serves as a drive wheel, which is coupled directly to the gear assembly, and the other wheel serves as an idler, driven from a spur gear attached to the drive wheel at the end opposite a gear case. Paper sheets are fed into the inlet slot and pulled between the wheels. Wheels are comprised of a stack of alternating discs of a large and small radius, and staggered so as to allow the two wheels to be interleaved while rotating in opposite (clockwise and counterclockwise) directions and maintain clearance. Large discs have a frictional edge to grab and feed the paper into the intersection of the wheels, tearing the paper into strips and forcing the strips into the outlet slot. A battery compartment in the handle contains the batteries for energizing the motor.

So, the 2008 Olympic Games is over, I do not care how many Gold medal which country or anyone had got as that's not my problem and focus. Pollution, corruption, poverty, 6 hundred million illiteracy, right-violence, unjust and autarchy... makes it meaningless and antic. As to me, I've been yearning for free-right, respect, justice... Why can't we live just like a west people? We've bring-up and feed so many office-bearer-pig to govern ourselves, Olympic , it's just a shame, and it's just a G-string.

But just forget that lousy communistic party's luxury party and the pains, yeah, i've seen Phelps,Dream 8...(So many outstanding athletes) finally, aha! It's a feast to see their games.

As you know i'm a gadgets fan, and thanks gizmodo- "10 Gadgets That Help You Play Like an Olympian", save me so much time to state such gadgets myself.

For me, I wanna to get the icanbreathe and the Bird's Nest Ashtray to resist and memorialize this luxury Olympic hold in my deplorable and poor China.
